According to Shehu Sani, a former senator from the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai’s switch from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) will not matter because he is no longer politically significant.
Recalling that Mallam Nasir El-Rufai recently defected from the APC to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), ZINGTIE notes that he believes the latter will provide a better platform for his upcoming political actions and engagements.
Shehu Sani responded over the phone to ZINGTIE, saying that El-Rufai formally left the APC for the SDP out of fear of the future. But he maintained that since El-Rufai no longer had any political clout, his defection was meaningless.
You may also remember that a few weeks ago, former Governor Ramalan Yero, Senator Shehu Sani, and other well-known state leaders, like Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi and Senator Danjuma Laah, rejoined the APC. On their way back, Shehu Sani reiterated his determination to see Governor Uba Sani re-elected in 2027.
