Vice President Kashim Shettima has strongly denounced the suicide bombing that claimed multiple lives at a local eatery in Konduga Local Government Area, Borno State, on Friday night.

In a statement released on Saturday, Shettima condemned the attack, labeling it a brutal act of terrorism targeting innocent citizens.

He urged the appropriate security and investigative agencies to intensify their efforts in uncovering the details of the incident and to provide immediate assistance to the victims and the families of those who lost their lives.

Shettima, who previously governed Borno State, extended his condolences to the bereaved families and the broader Borno community. He reiterated the Federal Government’s resolve to ensure that those behind the attack are held accountable.

He affirmed that the government remains fully committed to pursuing justice and will not waver in its mission to ensure the culprits face the consequences of their actions.

“Our hearts go out to the families who have lost loved ones in this senseless act of violence.

”The government stands with them in this difficult time and will provide all necessary support.

“The administration of His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, remains committed to restoring lasting peace and security to the Northeast and all parts of Nigeria.
