Soludo lied against Igbo youths – Ohanaeze ex-Spokesman, Chuks Ibegbu

Chuks Ibegbu, the former spokesperson for Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has strongly criticized a statement allegedly made by Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, in which the governor reportedly claimed that nearly all individuals apprehended for criminal activities in the state over the last three years and three months were Igbo youths.

In his response to the statement, Ibegbu called on Governor Soludo to withdraw the comment, labeling it as damaging and untrue.

He argued that the claim lacks accuracy and amounts to an act of disloyalty to the Igbo people.

“It is regrettable that a person of Soludo’s calibre can betray his own people with such unfortunate comments, which is an obvious lie.”

Ibegbu, who now heads the Nzuko Ndigbo Worldwide group, also warned certain political figures in the Southeast against making disparaging remarks about their own people for personal or political advantage.

He further appealed to governors and lawmakers in the region to fully enforce laws banning open grazing, emphasizing that such measures are essential for maintaining order in both urban and rural communities.

“I saw herds of cattle in Umuahia and Enugu cities the other day, and it was worrisome.”

While expressing sadness over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Ibegbu also pointed to the fact that Buhari died in a hospital outside Nigeria as a reflection of the country’s ongoing failure to improve its healthcare system. He said it underscored the neglect of the health sector by both current and previous administrations.
