Super Falcons’ Echegini wins top award in Italy

Jennifer Echegini, Juventus Ladies star, has been named the best U-23 player in the Women’s Serie A.

According to ZINGTIE, the Nigerian left Florida State Seminoles, an American team, to join Juventus in January.

Echegini, who made 16 appearances for the Bianconeri across all competitions, scored ten goals and provided one assist, making a significant contribution in the second half of the season.

Because of the 23-year-old’s effort, Juventus was able to qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The award will be given to her at the beginning of the next season.

Echegini is anticipated to be a member of the Super Falcons roster for the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.

She has nine appearances for Nigeria under her belt and has scored one goal.
