Suspected herdsmen kill two in fresh Benue attack

Two people were reportedly slain earlier today by suspected herders along the Uikpam–Umenger route close to Uikpam town.

The incident took place in Benue State’s Guma Local Government Area, which has recently seen a lot of conflict.

Witnesses claim that the victims were assaulted while driving along the abandoned road, which has a reputation for frequent acts of violence.

Authorities have not yet issued an official comment about the attack as of the time this news was filed.
