Tanzanian singer Mandojo killed after being mistaken for a thief

Mandojo, a well-known Bongo Flava performer in Tanzania, has away.

On Sunday, August 11, 2024, Mandojo was falsely identified as a thief and was beaten to death.

Musician Soggy Doggy confirmed his passing on social media, writing, “My heart is in great pain, I will miss you very much, my brother and friend.”

“Rest in peace. Mandojo, surely human life is very short on this earth. Sorry brothers, relatives and friends and I’m very sorry my brother @domokayatz God’s work has no mistakes.”

In a post, his colleague Domo Kaya also expressed tribute said: “Daaaah MY SON I don’t believe the 22nd of this month is supposed to be your birthday Aisee why! This is so sad. Rest in peace. may God give you eternal light, friend, brother.”

A few days before his birthday, Mandojo was slain.
