According to the Ogun State police command, a student-teacher has been taken into custody for allegedly hurting and causing the loss of an 11-year-old student’s right eye.

Alao Idera, the victim, is a sixth-grade student at Owiwi Nursery and Primary School in the state’s Obada Oko region.

According to the ZINGTIE, the teacher, Adeola Adeyemo, is a 400-level student at Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu Ode, and she is currently enrolled in the school’s teaching practice program.

Recall that in October, Monday Arijo, an SS2 student at Obada Grammar School in the state’s Idi-emi region, died after a teacher named Azamdjo Elijah allegedly asked him to do 162 frog jumps and whipped him 24 times with a cane.
