Erik ten Hag, the former manager of Ajax and Manchester United, has announced that he will not be taking on any new managerial role until July 1.
The Dutch coach has been without a job since being dismissed by Manchester United in October.
He was succeeded by Ruben Amorim, who has faced difficulties at Old Trafford, with the team now sitting in 15th place.
Amorim took over from Ten Hag during the November international break but has struggled to implement his vision with the squad.
Ten Hag has now confirmed that he does not plan to take charge of any team during the middle of a season.
“I had already decided for myself, okay, I’m not doing anything until the first of July,” he said in a short clip of an upcoming interview for SEG Stories.
He goes on to add: “If there’s one thing I miss, it’s Old Trafford.
“You’re always working towards a dot on the horizon, but you never get to the horizon.
“We’ve had many highs, there is always room for improvement and good is not enough. You can do better.”
