Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, has disclosed that he has had conversations with Bola Tinubu, the president of Nigeria.
Macron claims that the topic of discussion was the threat posed by terrorists in Northern Nigeria.
He told Tinubu that the French people support the African nation.
Additionally, Macron stated unequivocally that “no one can remain a spectator” in the battle against terrorism.
He wrote on X: “I spoke with President Tinubu of Nigeria, @officialABAT.
“I conveyed France’s solidarity in the face of the various security challenges, particularly the terrorist threat in the North.
“At his request, we will strengthen our partnership with the authorities and our support for the affected populations. We call on all our partners to step up their engagement.
“No one can remain a spectator.”
