The NFL Foundation and the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee have announced grants totaling $3.5 million to support 65 organizations that serve underserved communities in the New Orleans area.

The grants are part of this year’s Super Bowl Legacy Program, Impact 59 Powered by Entergy, which aims to support local nonprofits working in education, health and wellness, social justice, and youth and young adults.

The funding for the grants comes from joint contributions from the NFL Foundation and the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee and its partners.

Alexia Gallagher, NFL Vice President of Philanthropy and Executive Director of the NFL Foundation, emphasized the importance of making a lasting positive impact on the community. “Through the Super Bowl Legacy Grant Program, we aim to ensure the NFL makes a positive community impact that lasts long after the final whistle of the Super Bowl,” she said.

Gallagher also expressed her appreciation for the partnership with the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee. “We are honored to have worked with the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee to recognize and support these fantastic nonprofit organizations in their continued efforts to uplift underserved communities across the greater New Orleans area,” she added.
