The President doesn’t need to know how much they sell bread, it’s not his business – Adeboye

Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, revealed during the February 2024 Thanksgiving Service what Nigerians should be doing right away in light of the nation’s economic circumstances in a speech titled “Let The Wind Blow.”

According to him, “It doesn’t matter how much they are changing the Dollar for now, there are some people who are secure where they are. Like I said on Thursday at the Holy Communion Service, the Governor does not need to know the cost of petrol; is that correct? He doesn’t have to know how much petrol will fill his tank. He wants to go out? He just gets out, gets into the car and off he goes. The Governor doesn’t queue at petrol stations; does he?”

He added, “The President does not need to know how much they sell bread. It’s none of his business; it’s to get to the table when he wants to eat and then eat. It is common people like you and I who can tell that at the beginning of the Year, this is how much they were selling rice – a bag of rice, but today this is how much they are selling because we have to buy.”

He said, “So we need to cry to God please because of we – common people: “God have mercy.” I am going to beg you to pray for Nigeria. You will remember God also said at the beginning of the Year that things are going to get worse before they get better.”

Using Exodus 15:1, he prayed, “The almighty God will fight your battles for you. You will sing a new song of victory, success, prosperity. No matter how hard things may get, you will always have more than sufficient.”
