Three more clubs qualify for NWFL Super Eight playoff

There are two clubs that have have qualified for the Nigeria Women Premier League Super Eight playoffs: Edo Queens and Bayelsa Queens.

After a 1-1 tie with Delta Queens at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Wednesday, Edo Queens confirmed their spot. 

Robo Queens defeated Bayelsa Queens 2-1, but the latter team secured their spot in the championship match. 

With 23 points from 14 games, Edo Queens secured second place, while Bayelsa Queens secured third place with 22 points from the same number of games. 

With 27 points, Rivers Angels became victorious in Group B, with both teams joining them. 

The Heartland Queens, Confluence Queens, and Nasarawa Amazons advanced from Group A. 

The NWFL championship playoffs will feature a match between the six teams. 

The competition’s winner will be crowned 2024 NWFL champions.
