Galatasaray have completed the first phase of Victor Osimhen’s permanent move from Napoli, paying an initial €40 million.
Football transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reported that both Galatasaray and Napoli are in the final stages of completing the full terms of the striker’s transfer.
The reigning Turkish champions are also expected to pay an additional €35 million to Napoli within a year as the second installment for the 26-year-old forward.
Romano also revealed that Napoli included a special clause to prevent Galatasaray from transferring Osimhen to any Italian club over the next two years.
However, discussions are still ongoing regarding the final elements of the agreement, including the sell-on clause.
Osimhen, who spent the entire previous season on loan with Galatasaray, has expressed a strong desire to remain at the club.
The Nigerian forward turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi side Al Hilal in order to stay with the Turkish outfit.
