Former Arsenal skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is currently in discussions with Marseille about a potential return to the club.

If finalized, the deal would mark a return to French football for Aubameyang, where he first rose to prominence.

Negotiations are underway regarding the financial aspects of the agreement, with Marseille reportedly preparing to offer the striker a two-year contract.

Aubameyang is now a free agent after mutually parting ways with Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah, just a year after making the switch from Marseille.

Despite netting 17 goals in his debut season, the Saudi club has opted to release the veteran forward as part of a strategy to rebuild their attacking lineup with younger players.
