Transfer: Lazio set to hijack Chelsea move for Nigerian youngster

Lazio, a Serie A team, is considering Hafiz Umar Ibrahim, a target for Chelsea.

Ibrahim made an impression at his Chelsea trial in March.

London World claims that although the Blues are eager to recruit the striker, they are unable to come to an agreement with his club, Ojodu City, over a transfer cost.

Lazio, who has been keeping an eye on the issue, now has the opportunity to express interest.

Several elite European clubs expressed interest in the 18-year-old Nigerian wonderboy after he scored 10 goals in six games in the Viareggio Cup earlier this year.

Recall that Ibrahim was persuaded to accept the trial at the West London club by Raheem Sterling, a star player for Chelsea, during a video phone conversation.
