Transfer: Why I snubbed Chelsea, Man Utd – Olise

A new addition to Bayern Munich Michael Olise gave an explanation for his decision to leave Premier League clubs and relocate overseas.

Olise’s £60 million move from Crystal Palace to Bayern was finalised on Sunday.

The winger was connected to both Manchester United and Chelsea before to the transfer.

Chelsea believed they had acquired Olise last summer. However, he chose to sign a new deal with Selhurst Park.

“The talks with FC Bayern were very positive, and I’m very happy to now be playing for such a big club,” Olise, who has signed a five-year contract with the Bavarians, said.

“It’s a great challenge, and that’s exactly what I was looking for. I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in ensuring that we win as many titles as possible with our team in the coming years.”
