Two Kwara pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

There have apparently been two deaths among the Kwara State pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia this year.

The two pilgrims who died in Madina, Saudi Arabia, were named by the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board on Sunday.

According to a statement made by Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board: “Saliu Mohammed, who arrived with Batch 3 of the state contingent, died in an intensive care unit of a public hospital in Madina after a brief illness, while Hajia Hawawu Mohammed (Batch 9) also died following what Saudi authorities have investigated and found to be an unfortunate suicidal episode from the rooftop of her apartment in Madina.”

The pilgrims’ board said it “deeply regrets the sad events but submits totally to the decree and ultimate knowledge of Allah in all affairs.”
