UCL: I told him he’s a disaster – Xavi reveals why Barcelona lost to PSG

The manager of Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez, has held referee Istvan Kovacs accountable for the team’s Champions League exit.

The La Liga giants lost in front of their supporters even though they had a 3-2 lead going into the second leg of their quarterfinal matchup against Paris Saint-Germain.

Barca took the lead thanks to Raphinha, and Kovacs then substituted Ronald Araujo for a last-man tackle.

Following that, PSG advanced thanks to Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, and Kylian Mbappe (brace) goals.

Xavi, who also saw red during the match, expressed his regret by saying, “It is a pity our Champions League is over due to the referee’s mistake.

“I just told the referee that he has been a disaster. It’s the reality.”
