Spain manager Luis De La Fuente has expressed his confidence in Real Madrid making a remarkable comeback against Arsenal in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg on Wednesday.
Arsenal secured a commanding 3-0 victory in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium in England.
The Gunners will now travel to the Santiago Bernabeu for the return leg next week.
Real Madrid will need something extraordinary to overturn the deficit when they host Mikel Arteta’s team. However, De La Fuente is optimistic, stating that the game is far from over and that the La Liga giants still have a chance to defeat Arsenal despite the significant advantage held by the visitors.
“It’s still very open,” De La Fuente was quoted by Diario Sport as saying.
“We all know how Real Madrid can play at home, particularly in Europe, and I’m not giving up on that tie.”
