The Director General of NBCC, Dr. Ebere Njoku, emphasised the organisation’s dedication to supporting entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, and youth development as key drivers of economic growth and sustainability. “This is your chance; make sure you take it. Don’t let any obstacle stop you because there will be many; if you let it stop you, your dreams are not strong enough. You need to keep pushing; someday you will sit at the top of a conglomerate, and people will aspire to be like you,” Ray Atelly, President and Chairman of the Council, NBCC, told the graduates.

Senator Akin Odunsi, NBCC’s Patron, also congratulated the graduates, urging them to utilise the training received and become beacons of hope for others. “I encourage all of you not to take the training you have received for granted. Use it as a landmark opportunity to be a beacon of hope to others who look up to you,” he said.

Vivian Imoh-Ita, Head of Retail and SME Business at Union Bank, represented the bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Yetunde Oni, at the graduation ceremony. She expressed the bank’s commitment to empowering women and youth entrepreneurs, stating, “As a bank, we understand that when we invest in women and youth entrepreneurs, we are investing in the most powerful catalysts of economic transformation.”

The bank also hosted a business pitch competition, where three entrepreneurs emerged as winners: Evelyn Ekene Ani of (link unavailable), Martha Padonu of Beyond Photography, and Therietta Vershima of La Teriz. They received funding for their businesses, further demonstrating Union Bank’s commitment to fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem
