United Nations appoints Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan as global crisis envoy

Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the former president of Nigeria, was named the United Nations Global Crisis Envoy in a historic diplomatic move that puts him at the center of global efforts to mediate and promote peace.

Global powers like the United States, United Kingdom, France, China, Russia, and the United Nations have all endorsed Jonathan’s appointment, which is historic because he is the first former African head of state to occupy this esteemed role.
