US Election: Trump schedules news conference as Harris soars

As unrest rocked his presidential campaign and Kamala Harris’s poll numbers soared, Republican candidate and former US President Donald Trump has arranged a last-minute media gathering at his Florida property.

Following the massive, joyous crowds that Kamala Harris and her new running mate, Tim Walz, drew for her highly motivated Democratic quest to defeat him in November, Trump made this announcement in a single statement on his Truth Social platform.

Remember that since President Joe Biden withdrew from the campaign last month, Harris has raised a tonne of money, erased Trump’s advantage in the polls, and completely changed the dynamics of the presidential contest.

According to US media reports, Trump is upset about how his campaign is currently doing versus Harris and how it dominates news coverage.

Additionally, he is allegedly dissatisfied with his young Republican running mate, J.D. Vance, who has been characterised as a dull public speaker who leaves a bad impression on voters.
