Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the first lady of Kwara State, has been criticized by well-known Nigerian actress Bukola Arugba for her position on the state’s recent church attack.

According to ZINGTIE, terrorists assaulted a branch of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, during a live church program on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Eruku, Ekiti LGA, Kwara state.

Along with the pastor, an unknown number of worshippers were kidnapped, and three individuals had died.

In a video posted on her Instagram page on Wednesday night, the actress responded to the unfortunate news by criticizing Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the first lady of Kwara State, for labeling the incident as an attempted attack even though it was captured in real time.

The actress clarified that the First Lady claimed the incident was only a “attempted attack” in a statement posted on her official page.

The actress, who is from the Eruku village, refuted Olufolake Abdulrazaq’s assertion by saying that three of her family members were kidnapped and are still with their captors.

Bukola Arugba addressed the First Lady in a video posted on her Instagram page, accusing her of downplaying the gravity of the incident and maintaining that the terrorists had successfully carried out the horrific attack.

While calling for help, she said “I read a press release on Kwara state First Lady’s page regarding the bandit attack in my home town Eruku Ekiti LGA Kwara state which totally contradicts the sad truth. This video is to address and correct the report released on your page ma’am.

“This involves my people directly. We all saw the viral video online, they were on live streaming while the program was going on.

“It was never an attempted attack but a successful attack. I was in so much pain after I saw the release that it was an attempted attack, that nobody died. But people were hospitalized, with a lot of people abducted, while three people are confirmed dead.

“My aunty, Titi Balogun and two of my cousins, Ebenezer and Aina were abducted. The reports on your page are false. It totally contradicts what happened”, she said.
