According to a divine decree, veteran Yoruba actor Elegbeje Ado is only permitted to appear in gospel movies.

He no longer participates in popular Nollywood productions as a result. In an interview on Kunle Afod’s YouTube channel, the seasoned actor disclosed this and spoke openly about the spiritual path that now guides his career decisions.

Once frequently approached by producers to appear in Nollywood productions, Elegbeje revealed that he purposefully declines those offers, regardless of the associated financial incentives.

He says that his decision stems from a clear directive he received from God to only work on gospel initiatives and avoid secular film parts.

According to the actor, he has been tempted to accept large sums of money to appear in popular movies, but he has consistently refused out of obedience to the divine warning.

The seasoned actor emphasized the gravity of the spiritual teachings he adheres to, warning that any disobedience on his part might have dire repercussions. He underlined that in order to stay true to his faith, he has come to terms with the sacrifices required, including declining rich offers.

His words: “I used to get calls from producers that I should come and feature in Nollywood movies. However, I usually declined the offer because God has warned me that I shouldn’t feature in regular Nollywood movies, but only gospel movies. Sometimes I won’t have money with me, and they will bring a mouth-watering offer with good pay. However, I will decline because God has already given me an instruction that I should follow. God has warned me that if I disobey His instructions, I shouldn’t complain if anything happens to me.”
