During his appearance on Arise TV this morning, actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo was asked to respond to recent remarks made about Peter Obi by Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo.
The governor had stated that Obi needed to obtain his security clearance before entering the state. He claims that three people d!ed the last time Obi was in the state.
In response, Okonkwo stated that he believes the governor’s remark is an assault on Igbos. He claimed that the governor would not say such a thing about any Yoruba or Hausa leader.
However, he declined to address remarks made by Tenebe, the APC chairman in Edo state, who asserted that the governor was correct to request that Obi refrain from entering the state without authorization.
Tenebe claims that Obi shouldn’t visit Edo State because the residents despise him.
