A Nigerian man has disclosed the reasons behind his breakup with a white woman he was interested in marrying.

He claimed that although the woman consented to help him pay the bills, she required that he help with the cooking as well.

He claims that the woman promised that she would pay 40% of their expenses while he would pay 60%. If she starts making more money than he does, she will pay up to 60% of their expenses while he only pays 40%, she stated.

However, he said that the woman informed him that she would not always be in charge of all household cooking. She told him that if he was hungry, he too needed to cook.

The Nigerian man, who uses the Facebook handle InspiredCastro, asked why a woman would expect him to prepare meals.

He went on to say that, as an Igbo man, cooking is the responsibility of his woman, thus he broke up with the white woman who wanted to share cooking duties with him in the same way that she divides bills with him.

Then, because Nigerian women understood that it was their responsibility to prepare meals for their men, he advised Nigerian men to cling to them.

Nigerian men who have them should “be grateful and thank your God,” he continued, because Nigerian women “struggle to go to work” and still cook when they get back.
