A Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom (UK), known as @shakels95, has shared her shocking experience of being arrested for a simple misunderstanding of Nigerian jargon.

According to her, she had gone to the pharmacy to get medications for her husband when an innocent remark during a phone call resulted in her unexpected arrest.

While on the phone with her husband, she casually used the term “drugs” instead of “medications,” unknowing that the folks surrounding her at the pharmacy misconstrued it.

Moments later, the police arrived and got her arrested.
