VIDEO: Libyan police arrest suspected kidnappers who abducted Nigerian woman and demanded ransom

Members of a suspected Nigerian kidnapping group that kidnapped a Nigerian woman and demanded a ransom to free her have been arrested by Libyan police.

On Monday, June 30, 2025, Joint Police Forces conducted a raid on a place in Surman city, Tripolitania region of northwest Libya, in response to a report of the kidnapping of the Nigerian woman, and detained the gang, according to Migrant Rescue Watch.

While the kidnappers were imprisoned, the victim was saved.
