VIDEO: NTA cuts off Yakubu Gowon during live program for refusing to address Nigerians in Hausa

Trending on NTA is a video that shows the strange moment former head of state General Yakubu Gowon (retd.) got cut off during a live programme for not wanting to speak to Nigerians in Hausa.

Many Nigerians are questioning why the national television insists on using Hausa in a country where English is the official language, which has sparked various opinions on the situation.

Many lamented the state of affairs, while some contended that Gowon’s undisclosed message must be delicate.

Gowon stated in the video, “They want me to speak in Hausa, but I said no.”

According to reports, this occurred on Wednesday, February 21st.
