Joke Silva, a seasoned actress in Nollywood, has revealed one of the benefits of marrying older men.

The 64-year-old spoke during her recent guest appearance on the TVC program ‘Your View’.

In 1985, actress Joke Silva wed Olu Jacob, an actor who is 20 years her senior.

While talking about their romantic experiences on the show, Joke remarked that older men permit women to get away with many things.

While acknowledging that she didn’t experience love at first sight, she elaborated, “Yes we met on stage, and when we met on a movie set, everybody knew it was the great Olu Jacob who was coming, except me. When he came, we got on very well and it was after we started dating that I discovered his age because he looked so good.

“For him, it was love at first sight but for me, it wasn’t. This older men allows you to get away with a lot of things.”

At the age of 44, Nollywood icon Olu Jacob tied the knot with 24-year-old Joke Silva. They are the parents of two children.
