VIDEO: Portable reveals why Fela died early

Controversial The late Afrobeats pioneer and activist Fela Anikulapo-Kuti is the person that Nigerian musician Portable has blamed for his own death.

During his most recent podcast on the “Echoo Room” with media personality Quincy Jonze, Portable shaded Fela.

The artist claimed in a now-viral social media interview that Fela passed away early because he didn’t mind his business.

In response to his internet dispute with rapper Zlatan Ibile, Portable also called Zlatan the devil for causing the misunderstanding between Davido and himself.

“According to what we were told, if Fela had minded his business a little he would have lived longer. But he was busy fighting for Nigerians wey no fight for their selves.

“I was in America looking for foreign artistes. I was busy displaying my madness online when Davido called me to come. Me and Davido did not quarrel until when the devil Zlatan came.”
