VIDEO: Reaction as church requests bride to remove makeup on wedding day

Discussions on marriage laws and regulations have been triggered by the viral video of a bride removing her makeup as directed by the presiding clergy.

The widely shared video showed women who were presumably bridesmaids removing the bride’s glitzy makeup at the church’s request.

Given that the majority frequently use social media to criticise the church for upholding its marital doctrines, viewers of the video wondered if the newlyweds were unaware of the church’s requirements when it went viral.

Many speculated that the video was misrepresenting the chapel because the bride’s makeup was applied for her wedding photo shoot.
