VIDEO: Reactions as man publicly rejects his girlfriend’s proposal in public

A young woman’s audacious attempt to pop the question to her boyfriend was publicly rejected, setting off a dramatic scene at a Nigerian eatery.

After being caught on camera, the incident became viral on social media, evoking a range of responses from online users.

With a ring in her hand, the woman is seen kneeling in the center of the restaurant in the widely shared video, waiting impatiently for her partner to respond.

“Say Yes, Say Yes” was chanted enthusiastically by customers at a restaurant.

But rather of responding with a “yes,” the young man seemed clearly uneasy, shaking his head disapprovingly before moving away.

The woman rushed after him while still on her knees, pleading with him to accept her proposal of marriage. But the man turned her down and left her at the restaurant after refusing to listen to her cries.
