According to reports, Nigerian troops made a man swim in a dirty gutter as a form of punishment, causing him to become a public figure.

According to unverified sources, the incident happened after the man was charged with charging an outrageous price for a pair of shoes. The man allegedly sold shoes worth N20,000 for merely N2,000, according to the exchanges caught on camera during the ordeal, which prompted the soldiers’ harsh reaction.

The man is seen being forced into the filthy gutter in the video, which went viral right away. Those watching the incident appear to be astonished by how harsh the punishment is.

The episode has caused a great deal of controversy, raising concerns about the fairness of such actions and the role of authorities in enforcing discipline, even though the veracity of the assertions regarding the shoe pricing is still unknown.
