User @eddie_wrt disclosed this in a post on X (previously Twitter), explaining that the woman, who was a trained nurse, had been looking for work for years and had finally resorted to street hawking in order to make ends meet.
The post claims that her story soon went viral, garnering sympathy and attention from a large number of Nigerians.
Well-meaning people were moved by her predicament and started contributing money to help her get off the streets.
The message included a video that showed her crying because she was so moved by the compassion and generosity she received.
