The moments when a man robbed an 83-year-old woman after she won the lotto were caught on surveillance footage from a petrol station in Florida.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office charged Diego Tavarez Fleury with robbery and violence on an individual 65 years of age or older after he was taken into custody on Thursday.

Ruth Monroe, the victim, was reportedly leaving Buddy’s Food and Lotto on Wednesday after winning $200 from a lotto ticket she had purchased there, according to the police.

In the video, Monroe was close to her vehicle when Fleury came up to her.

After the manager of the store stepped outside to try to defuse the situation, Fleury attacked Monroe.

Fleury ran away with her lotto winnings after Monroe was observed collapsing to the ground.

Fleury was eventually arrested after the police obtained a warrant for him.

Monroe claimed that after the assault, she went back to the shop and purchased an additional lottery ticket.
