VIDEOS: Tears as lady ends 7-year relationship, cancels wedding after discovering fiancé has secret lover

After learning that her seven-year fiancé had been secretly seeing someone else, despite the fact that they already had a child together, a Nigerian woman broke down in tears on social media and announced the cancelation of her wedding.

In a series of posts on TikTok, the distraught woman revealed her heartbreaking tale. She was shown sobbing and expressing her intense anguish at the betrayal.

She clarified that she had given the relationship everything—her body, her love, her forgiveness, her loyalty, and even motherhood—only to be met with violence, heartache, and dishonesty.

“You didn’t just break my heart, you broke my spirit,”she wrote in one of the conversations posted.

“I gave you everything. Seven years. My loyalty. My body. My heart. My forgiveness. Even a child. And you gave me betrayal, lies, and in the end, violence.”

She described how, when she politely told him with the covert romance, things became more heated. She said he physically abused her instead of showing her honesty or regret.

“When I found the truth, I didn’t scream. I didn’t hit. I didn’t curse. I simply asked for honesty. And you beat me. You beat me because I dared to confront what you knew was wrong.”

She talked of the agony of experiencing emotional, physical, and mental abuse and that she had sobbed so much that she felt like her tears had dried up.

“I’m cancelling the wedding. I’m walking away. Not because I stopped loving you, but because I finally started loving myself.”

She ended her note with a powerful declaration: “What you did to me emotionally, mentally, physically—it will stay with me forever. But I will rise from this. I will heal. I will rebuild. And you’ll remember that the woman you lost was the one who would’ve loved you for a lifetime.”

The woman also posted images of their private chats, in which she made the devastating admission that the other woman’s identity made the betrayal much more painful.

“But this? This last betrayal? It broke me. Not because it was the worst, but because it was her.”

She conveyed her profound sorrow at having to raise her child by herself, something she never imagined for herself.

“I only wanted a family,” she wrote. “Single mother was not the plan ooo. Chei.”
