Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to take care not to implode like the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Mohammed stated that the APC should be vigilant after its primary elections to prevent a collapse like that of the PDP.
After a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, he spoke while addressing journalists.
The governor, embroiled in a conflict with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) regarding leadership roles in the PDP, stated that he does not feel isolated within the party.
He said: “The APC will need to watch their backs after the primaries, as they are growing larger, much like the PDP.
“The PDP expanded and ultimately exploded, not imploded.
“I do not feel lonely because I understand my state, and my intention is to stay back and observe how elections are won at the polling booth. Elections are won locally, not nationally.”
