Wedding turns violent as Gombe teenagers kill man

Five adolescents have been taken into custody by the Gombe State Police Command on suspicion of killing a young man following a fight during a wedding ceremony.

The local community is in shock over the occurrence that happened in the bustling Pantami neighbourhood.

According to eyewitness accounts, a verbal argument swiftly turned into a physical brawl, which ultimately led to the victim’s untimely death.

The police quickly caught the perpetrators, who were between the ages of 16 and 19, following a tip from worried locals.

ASP Mahmud Abubakar, the State Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the arrests stated, “The suspects are in custody, and we have launched a comprehensive investigation. Justice will be served, and no perpetrator will go unpunished.”
