Chris Ngige, a former governor of Anambra State, was taken into custody in Abuja.

The former Labour and Employment Minister is presently employed with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

A declaration written by his former media assistant, Fred Chukwulobe, and acquired by ZINGTIE on Wednesday night corroborated this.

Chukwulobe refuted the internet rumors that Ngige had been arrested.

He said, “Former Governor of Anambra State and immediate past minister of labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, is with the EFCC. More details later.”

Recently, Ngige made headlines when armed men in Anambra State ambushed his vehicle. When the attack occurred, he was not inside the car.
