Argentina’s captain, Lionel Messi, has revealed what he dislikes about himself.

Messi acknowledged a personal difficulty in a recent interview with Luzu TV, revealing that he isolates himself when he is in a certain mindset.

However, the Inter Miami attacker stated that his son, Mateo, is frequently able to pull him out of this funk.

“The thing I like least about myself is that when I get into a certain state, I shut myself off, and it is hard for me to get out of it,” Messi said.

“Any triviality, sometimes even something simple, changes my mood, so I go into a state of withdrawal, and it’s hard for me to get out of it.

“The person who gets me out of that state quickly is my son Mateo; he is the one who can do that.”

Messi is expected to join Argentina’s squad for the FIFA World Cup.
