The publisher of Ovations magazine, Dele Momodu, has denied the allegation that Globacom’s owner and Nigerian billionaire Mike Adenuga had passed away.

On Tuesday evening, Momodu shared this on his personal X account.

His explanation follows rumours on social media that one of Nigeria’s oil barons, Adenuga, has passed away.

He urges Nigerians to “ignore the fake news,” saying that Adenuga, 71, is well and strong.

According to Momodu, who said he had a phone conversation with Adenuga, the man, who is reportedly the second richest Nigerian, was working nonstop at his desk to boost the country’s economy.

He said, “Ignore the fake news… The Spirit of Africa DR MICHAEL ADENIYI AGBOLADE ISOLA ADENUGA is hale and hearty. He’s right now at his desk working round the clock in support of the Nigerian economy… He just called me to thank everyone for their concern”.
