Kylian Mbappe, the summer signing for Real Madrid, has tweeted his happiness following his first goal in the team’s history.

The captain of France made his Real Madrid debut on Wednesday against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup final.

Real Madrid, the Spanish La Liga champions, overcame the Serie A team 2-0 in Poland thanks to the second goal scored by the 25-year-old.

After winning his first trophy with Real Madrid, Mbappe said to the Spanish television network Movistar Futbol, as reported by Forbes:

“It has been a great night. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time, to play with this shirt, with this badge, for these fans.

“It’s a great moment for me. And we won a title, which is important. In Madrid, you always have to win.”
