Wife allegedly stabbed husband to death three days after wedding

Three days after getting married, a young man was allegedly fatally stabbed by his wife in Tashar Aibo, Jibia Local Government Area, Katsina State. The community is in shock.

Locals reported that the event occurred on Sunday afternoon as the man, known locally as Dan Gaske Mai Masara, was relaxing at home.

On Thursday, November 18, 2025, the pair tied the knot.

Neighbors said that while he was sleeping, the wife stabbed him in the neck with a knife.

The victim, a well-known corn vendor, was described by locals as modest and diligent. On Sunday, a large number of people gathered around his store, finding it difficult to accept the news.

The incident was described as terrible by local sources, who also offered prayers for the deceased’s soul.

Authorities have not yet published an official statement as investigations are ongoing.
