According to Timothy Osadolor, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee (NWC), Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is officially no longer a party member.
Osadolor advised Nigerians not to trust Wike since he often “double-speaks” on several matters.
Speaking with Trust TV, the PDP Deputy National Youth leader, said, “The truth is that Wike has technically left the PDP. When last did you see him in any PDP function?
“To say that Wike is no longer a member of the party, especially when he has also claimed leadership of the APC in his state, is just over-flogging what is already obvious.
“No matter how he continues to say that he is a member of the PDP, the reality on ground and his actions state something else.
“I think Nigerians should not take him too seriously because the man is given to double-speaking. Wike has left the party, and that is the truth.”
Before the general elections of 2023, questions have been raised about Wike’s actions.
During the election, Wike was purportedly working against Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s nominee for president in 2023.
He is said to have set up camp with President Bola Tinubu and succeeded in getting appointed as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
PDP interim chairman Umar Damagum has vowed to penalise him soon because he was upset over his actions.
