Wike vs Fubara: Guru Maharaj mentions ‘real enemy’ of peace amid Rivers emergency rule

Satguru Maharaj Ji, the founder of One Love Family, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his recent participation in the political dispute between Siminalayi Fubara, the suspended governor of Rivers, and Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd) was named the sole administrator of Rivers state when President Tinubu proclaimed a state of emergency on March 18, suspending Governor Fubara, his deputy, and the state House of Assembly.

In a statement he issued on Thursday, May 8, Maharaj Ji, however, encouraged the two to put their swords away for the benefit of the state’s citizens and Nigerians in general.

According to The Punch, he emphasized that cooperation is necessary for the state’s advancement because the rivalry between Wike and Fubara was unnecessary.

“The Wike vs Fubara conflict, like others of its kind and of the past, will ultimately end and will leave the abjectly poor masses of Nigeria struggling and gleaning in their protracted penury as usual.

“Therefore, President Tinubu’s intervention against the highly emotional clash in the state is certainly a perfect antidote.”

According to The Punch, he also revealed that neither Wike nor Fubara, nor Tinubu or any of the native Nigerians in his cabinet, are the true enemies of the state or of Nigeria.

“Instead of fighting and hating themselves, Wike and Fubara should commit themselves against sustaining rifts or disagreements in the state for the real enemy of peace and progress in Nigeria, to exploit to the benefit of their ultra-evil agenda.

“I, therefore, call on Wike and Fubara to reconcile sooner than later in the best interest of the people of the state and of the greater population of indigenous Nigerians spread across other parts of Nigeria,” he advised.
