After a young woman gave birth by the side of the road on Wednesday, Oshodi, Lagos, residents were ecstatic.

Witnesses said that the woman suddenly went into labor while traveling from Ajah to an unidentified location.

Several women in the area were alerted to the scene and immediately banded together to help her give birth.

One bystander praised the women’s prompt action in ensuring the safety of both mother and infant, calling the incident “a clear act of God.”

Friends on the scene assisted in arranging support until the woman’s husband arrived soon after the delivery, despite initial phone calls being futile.

People stopped to congratulate the new mother, and the atmosphere was joyful. The birth was celebrated as a blessing by local market women, who saw it as an indication of heavenly favor for the community.
