‘Your only way out is to leave this world’, Singer Rudeboy vows to find woman who accused him of r@pe

In a post that sparked a flurry of online reactions, Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, also known online as Rudeboy, promised to find and prosecute an X user who accused him of sexually abusing a domestic staff.

A different X user, @darkskinnedtemi, claimed Rudeboy had cheated on his ex-wife by using a housemaid, which sparked the uproar. Ayomide Agoola (@chubbiedivah), another user, then made a more pointed accusation that the singer “raped/coerced their domestic help,” adding the woman was “most likely wayyyy younger” and “the help… how could she say no?”

The singer of “Reason With Me” responded on X on Wednesday, warning the account holder that he would use his “power, resources, and money” to hold her accountable and take her to court.

He wrote, “I hardly reply !!! But you see this one !!! @chubbiedivah if you like go private , leave X !! I will find you, I will use every necessary means, power, resources and money !!! You will face the law , I will use you to set an example!! (scapegoat )… your only way out is to leave the surface of this earth and relocate to space .. to everyone that brought my attention to her tweet … thank you.”

Social media users’ reactions ranged from fear for the accuser’s safety to praise for Rudeboy. Some bloggers called for defamation lawsuits if the accusations were false, while others urged the accuser to disclose any threats to her life so that she may be safeguarded. Following the altercation, the accuser’s account was disabled, according to threads and community boards.
