ZLP elects new national leadership to steer party for next four years

The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has elected new national executives to oversee the party over the next four years.

The new executives were chosen at the party’s 2025 National Convention.

This was revealed in a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Amb. Khalid Arewa, and distributed to journalists in Bauchi.

Arewa praised the convention as a watershed moment in the party’s history, reinforcing ZLP’s dedication to equality, equity, and transparency.

He also urged Nigerians to join the party in creating a brighter future for the nation.

The freshly elected ZLP National Executive members are:

National Chairman: Hon. Chief Barr. Dan Nwanyanwu

National Secretary: Hon. Yahaya Makama

National Vice Chairman (North Central): Alh. Usman Danjuma

National Legal Adviser: Barr. ThankGod Enohoro, LLM

National Publicity Secretary: Amb. Khalid Arewa

National Women Leader: Mrs. Chinyare Oge-Kalu

National Youth Leader: Comr. Lucky Okurabore

Other executive members were also elected from all the six geo-political zones.

Key decisions made at the convention include, “Amendments to the party’s constitution to enhance transparency, accountability, and good governance; introduction of new measures to promote inclusivity and encourage participation in party activities; and election of new leadership to drive the party’s vision for national progress.”

The new ZLP leadership highlighted its commitment to democratic ideals, asking all members to remain dedicated to the party’s purpose of promoting good governance in Nigeria.
