Adamawa State University (ADSU) has appointed Professor Augustine Clement as its new vice chancellor. According to Professor Maxwell Gidado, Pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Clement will assume his new role on the 5th of next month.

Addressing a press briefing in Yola, the state capital, Gidado announced that Professor Clement was chosen from among 23 applicants. The appointment was recommended by the Governing Council and subsequently approved by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri. “The Governing Council hereby pronounces the appointment of Prof. Augustine Clement as substantive vice chancellor of the university,” Gidado said.

Professor Clement, a scholar of monogastric animal nutrition, has served in the Department of Animal Production at ADSU for over a decade. He has extensive experience in teaching, research, and community service. The new vice chancellor hails from Demsa, in the Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa.

As the new substantive Vice-Chancellor, Professor Clement will retain the office for five years. His appointment marks a significant development for ADSU, and the university community looks forward to his leadership and vision.
